Directed by Sidney Lument (12 Angry Men), this follows Sonny (Al Pacino) and Sal (John Cazale) as their attempted bank heist turns into a hostage situation. It’s the 70s, the police are corrupt (as ever), and the attention and sympathies of the crowd are at play. Motives are discovered as tensions heighten and Al Pacino gets sweatier.
