"La haine attire la haine."
La Haine is a 1995 crime thriller, with its title directly translates to hatred or hate. The film is set against the backdrop of a rioting Paris, where Abdel Ichaha is left severely injured. The plot then follows the lives of three of Abdel's friends, all with different backgrounds and motivations, over the span of the day. The film is a dissection of French society and the tensions which exist in it - despite a cordial veneer, hatred is always bubbling and rising. After all, "hatred breeds hatred".
