Max (Jason Schwartzman) is an ambitious, overzealous teenager at a prestigious prep school. When he meets Rosemary (Olivia Williams), a teacher and older woman, he turns his obsessive focus to one goal - getting her to fall in love with him. But there’s one other catch besides the age-gap: his friend and mentor Herman (Bill Murray) is in love with her too. What’s a 15-year-old to do?

Rushmore is Wes Anderson’s second film - co-written by him and Owen Wilson - and helped launch his career due to its commercial & critical success. It is also Jason Schwartzman’s film debut and served to establish Bill Murray’s status as a respected indie actor.
