Written and directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, Shoplifters is an emotional rollercoaster that will leave you not knowing whether to laugh or cry. Following an impoverished family living in Tokyo who use a series of hand signals to shoplift from local supermarkets, the film questions what it means to be family and how far you will go for the ones you love. A deeply human experience, this is not a tearjerker to miss.
