Written and Directed by Marjane Satrapi and adapted from her graphic novel, Persepolis is dark, beautifully animated, and surprisingly funny. This is the autobiographical coming-of-age story of Marji, a young girl during the Iranian Revolution against the Shah of Iran and in the Iran-Iraq War.
